Import Saved Data From Old vMenu
Turn everything the original vMenu saved on your computer into a vMenu Enhanced transfer code.
The original vMenu, v3.9.2 and older, saved your vehicles, peds, characters, weapon loadouts and settings in FiveM's storage folder on your computer. This page reads that folder, turns everything it finds into the vMenu Enhanced format, and gives you a transfer code to paste into the game. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
On FiveM Legacy, that storage folder is shared by every server you ever played on. So one import brings over everything you saved with the old vMenu, on any server.
Close FiveM first
Close FiveM and its launcher completely before you open, copy or zip the folder, and keep them closed until this page shows you your code. FiveM keeps writing to this folder while it runs, and touching it at the same time can corrupt it, which wipes the saves of every server and script you use.
At your own risk
The old vMenu and vMenu Enhanced store things very differently, so not everything converts perfectly. Clothes can come out as a different piece, some settings have no new version, and anything the page cannot read is skipped. The folder itself is never changed, so you can always try again.
Step 1. Copy the folder location
The old vMenu saved its data in this folder. Copy its location with the button, you will need it in the next step.
%AppData%\CitizenFX\kvsStep 2. Pick the folder
- Click Choose the kvs folder.
- Click the address bar at the top of the window that opens, paste the location with
Ctrl+V, and pressEnter. - Click Upload or Select Folder. Your browser may ask if you want to upload the files. Say yes, they still never leave your computer.
Or drag the kvs folder, the whole CitizenFX folder, or a zip of either one onto the drop box.
If the page finds old vMenu data under more than one name, a Found old vMenu data under more than one name selector lets you pick which one to use.
Step 3. Paste it into the game
- Start FiveM again and join a server running vMenu Enhanced.
- Open Misc Settings, Import & Export and pick Paste A Code.
- Paste with
Ctrl+Vand pressEnter.
Paste A Code adds everything to what you already have. Anything saved under the same name in vMenu Enhanced is replaced by the imported one. More about codes is on Backing Up Your Data, and you can look through or change the code first with Edit Your Data.
Already have saves in vMenu Enhanced?
Then you can pick what to keep before anything is replaced. In game, open Misc Settings, Import & Export and pick Show My Transfer Code to get a code with your current saves. Paste that code and the one from this page into Compare Or Merge Data. It shows what is different, lets you choose which version of each item to keep, and gives you one merged code to paste into the game.
What comes over
| Old vMenu | In vMenu Enhanced |
|---|---|
| Saved vehicles | Saved vehicles. They keep their old category, or go into Imported from old vMenu if they had none. |
| Saved peds | Saved peds, in the Imported from old vMenu category. |
| Saved multiplayer peds | Custom characters, with their face, hair, makeup, tattoos and outfit. They keep their old category, or go into Imported from old vMenu if they had none. |
| Weapon loadouts | Weapon loadouts, including which one loads when you respawn. Loadouts have no categories. |
| Your default character | Your default character. |
| Settings | Every setting that still exists. Settings that were removed or work differently now are left out. |
When something goes wrong
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No old vMenu data was found | Make sure you picked kvs, not kvs_cl2 or another folder. If you only ever played vMenu with GTA V Enhanced, there is nothing here to import. |
| Some files could not be read | FiveM was probably still running. Close FiveM and its launcher completely and pick the folder again. |
| An item is listed as skipped | Its old save was damaged or used something vMenu Enhanced has no place for. Open it to see why. |
| A character wears the wrong clothes | Fix the outfit in game and save it again. Clothes are stored differently now, so DLC pieces can shift. |
Compare Or Merge Data
Put two vMenu transfer codes side by side, see what is different, and merge them into one new code.
Admin Menu
The staff only menu in vMenu Enhanced, what each of its tools does, the permissions behind them, and the announcements.json file that lets the server talk to everybody on its own.
